A Few More Lists…

…and then 2009 will definitely be in the past! First, let’s take a look at my Last.FM-Charts from the last 12 months; here is the Top-20-album-list that I apparently listened to the most (the number behind the title states the total amount of played songs from the album):

1    Dogs Die in Hot Cars – Pop Nonsense    154
2    Vib Gyor – We Are Not An Island    149
3    The Fatales – Great Surround    141

7    Manic Street Preachers – Journal For Plague Lovers    110
8    Doves – Kingdom Of Rust    107
9    Barcelona – Absolutes    104
10    Mew – No more stories Are told today I’m sorry They washed away No more stories The world…    101
11    kimo – Surrender    96
12    Faunts – Feel.Love.Thinking.Of.    94
12    David Gray – Draw The Line    94

18    The Raveonettes – In And Out Of Control    81
18    Lovebugs – The Highest Heights    81
20    The Big Pink – A Brief History of Love    80

I completely forgot to mention the Dogs Die In Hot Cars album in my previous posts! It wouldn’t have made the top-3 though, but it should have been mentioned amongst all the other albums at least. Well, consider it done now! I also notice that other non-mentioned albums show up on the list, like Manic Street Preachers, Doves or Julian Plenti. Although I quite enjoyed these works, they haven’t impressed me enough to be in the final list. And of course Last.FM shows only one part of my listening habits, so this list isn’t as representative as the personal one. So let’s take a look at the most-listened songs from the last 12 months:

1    The Mary Onettes – Dare    32
2    Degrees – Home (MP3)     27
3    Degrees – Run To The Music (MP3)     25
4    Doves – Jetstream    24
4    Mew – Introducing Palace Players    24
6    Manic Street Preachers – Umbrella    22
7    Scarlet Youth – Gleaming endless ocean      21
7    a-ha – Foot Of The Mountain      21
7    Peter Gabriel – The Book Of Love    21
10    The Fatales – Torches    20
10    The Cavalcade – Meet You In The Rain      20
10    Lower Heaven – Lose it all at once    20
10    Empire of the Sun – Half Mast    20
14    them:youth – Bow & Arrows    19
14    Vib Gyor – Fallen    19
14    Danish Daycare – A Purpose To My Sins (MP3)     19
14    Vib Gyor – Church Bell    19
14    Lower Heaven – Fruitless full track     19
19    BlackBud – So It Seems    18
19    The Gaslight Anthem – The ’59 Sound    18
19    Barcelona – It’s About Time      18
19    The Fatales – Evergreen      18
19    Archive – Bullets    18
19    Metric – Help I’m Alive (The Twelves Remix)    18
19    Senses – We’re Not Wanted Around Here Anymore    18
19    The Mary Onettes – God Knows I Had Plans    18
19    The Bishops – Wandering By    18
19    Monorev – Secrets & Silence    18

again, a not-so-representative list as there are a few songs on here I don’t even remember. But since my player is on shuffle for most of the days, it can happen that some tracks get more “airplay” than others without me even noticing. But then, it’s only a list, right?

So, what else? Oh right… my guilty pleasure song of 2009:

didn’t like the album very much, but everytime this one comes up, it’s stuck immediately! Yeah, I’m still an 80’s child… 🙂

That’s it, then. Let’s move on to 2010! The first album of the year has already been ordered and should arrive this week, but more about that later…
