Funny name for a band… Meowskers. Well, who cares about a name when the music speaks louder than words? This Brooklyn bunch delivers energetic and ecstatic indie-rock, and has just released their first EP, Fake Orange. Label says that they “combine the jagged darkness of early Black Sabbath with the holy drive of U2, smoothing it out with the sexy swagger of 80’s synth pop.” Can you imagne that? Neither could I… but if it’s true or not, doesn’t really matter. These two songs here are quite good, even if I can’t make out Black Sabbath or U2 (or maybe that’s why they are so good! 🙂 ).
