New Albums Galore…

2007 already looks like a good year! There are some new records in the making that I’m already looking forward to. Here’s what I’ve found:

Thirteen Senses

Invitation, the debut album of Thirteen Senses, still is one of my favourite records of 2005. And 2007 sees the release of the follow-up. It will be called Contact, and it will be out on January 22nd. There are already two new songs on their MySpace, and they are ex-cell-ent!!! January is saved!

Listen to those new songs, and watch the video for the first single, All The Love In Your Hands (it’s actually still called Spirals on MySpace), here: Clicky-Click

Great news also from Sweden’s best band of the moment, Kent. Apparently, they have already started work on album No. 7. There’s a statement on their official homepage (it’s in Swedish, so if anyone wants to translate for me, please do so!), and there’s also a blog entry from the producer (see link below). I’ve found out that they have been recording in New York and will do some more back in Stockholm, and they plan to release the album somewhen in autumn 2007. Brilliant!!!

Thanks to maja for the translation of the text. Here it is:

In the beginning of November, Kent went to Allaire Studios, Shokan, New York state to begin the recording of their seventh album. The album is produced by Jon “Joshua” Schumann together with Kent.

The session in Allaire studios was finished the 21st of November and will be continued in Stockholm during the winter and spring. Kents new album is planned to be realesed during fall 2007.

Danish melancholy-poppers Saybia have also been entering the studio again for their third album. There’s no news of a release date, but I guess it will be out next year as well. Looking forward to their new ideas!

The New Yorkers are also working on their third album. They say it’s “sounding great so far, but they’ll be at the studio for a while yet”… well, take your time! But not too much… 🙂
Slow Hands (MP3)

UK’s best-kept secret, rock-dinosaurs Marillion, have already started with Somewhere Else, their next album. It will be number 14 (!), and if they can keep the quality of their last one, Marbles, nothing should go wrong! I’m really looking forward to this. No release date yet, but it will be 2007.

Easter (Acoustic) (MP3)

As you can see, there will be plenty of music in 2007… what are you looking forward to?
