Remembering John Lennon

John Lennon, 1940 – 1980

On December 8th 1980, 25 years ago, John Lennon was shot dead in front of his home. The music world was in shock. One of the world’s greatest musicians was no more.

Lennon left behind a legacy of some of the best songs ever written. Not only with his fellow bandmates from The Beatles, but also as a solo artist, Lennon created masterpiece after masterpiece, and already became a legend in his living years; his death only added to that status.

Until today, John Lennon remains immortal to his fans. I will take the occasion today and listen only to John Lennon and Beatles songs. I will never get tired of those gems!

Rest In Peace, John Lennon… and thank you for giving the world your creativity, your talent and your spirit!

Imagine there’s no heaven,
It’s easy if you try,
No hell below us,
Above us only sky,
Imagine all the people
living for today…

Imagine there’s no countries,
It isnt hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace…

Imagine no possessions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world…

You may say Im a dreamer,
but Im not the only one,
I hope some day you’ll join us,
And the world will live as one.
